Accountability and Governance
The Western Co-Principal and the Chinese Co-Principal are the designated Heads of School of Yew Chung International School (YCIS) / Yew Wah International Education School (YWIES) and have the overall accountability of all the school's academic functions.

Leadership Domains and Capabilities
The Co-Principals will provide educational leadership to teaching staff and ensure quality educational experiences and outcomes for the students of YCIS or YWIES.

The role description of a Co-Principal articulates what school leaders should know, understand and be able to do.

The following five areas describe domains and capabilities that encapsulate the essence of school leadership. The domains are derived from extensive research and practice undertaken by internationally renowned educator and author Thomas Sergiovanni.

Technical Leadership
Demonstrate capacity to effectively optimise the school’s financial, physical and human resources through sound management practices and organisational systems and processes that contribute to the implementation of the school’s vision and goals.

Human Leadership
Demonstrates ability to foster a safe, purposeful, accountable, caring, harmonious, respectful and inclusive learning environment, and the capacity to develop constructive and respectful relationships with staff, students, parents and other stakeholders. Uses data to measure organisational health and develop action plan as appropriate. Effectively manages all aspects of teaching staff employment conditions, including performance management. Makes and communicates informed decisions. Manages crises and challenging situations effectively.

Educational Leadership
Demonstrates capacity to lead, manage and monitor the school improvement and planning processes through a current and critical understanding of the learning process and its implications for enhancing high quality teaching and learning across the school. Uses data to inform teaching practice and enhance student learning and achievement.

Symbolic Leadership
Demonstrates capacity to model important values and behaviours to the school and community, including a commitment to creating and sustaining effective professional learning communities within the school. To have in place effective personnel practices that contributes to retention, an ethos of innovation, collaboration and a strong work ethic. To model collaborative leadership which exemplifies the fusion of western and eastern cultural leadership concepts and practices.

Cultural Leadership
A well-developed sense of school effectiveness, commitment to international mindedness and a demonstrated capacity to lead the school in promoting a vision of the future in harmony with the values and cultural norms of the host country and school community. The YCIS/YWIES mission and vision should be underpinned by common purposes and values that will secure the commitment and alignment of stakeholders to realize the potential of all students. 举报 分享

上海浦东新区民办沪港学校（上海耀华临港校区）所开设的小学及初中课程建基于中国国家课程及国际课程，引进海外先进教学资源，重视中英双语能力。完成初中课程后，学生可选择在古北校区或临港校区就读四年制的出国留学预科课程 (OUPP)，包括两年制的国际中学教育普通证书课程(IGCSE)和两年制的普通教育高级证书课程(A Level)。上海耀华古北校区从2004年起面向中外籍学生，按照享誉世界的英国剑桥国际教育体系，开设出国留学预科课程(OUPP)，拥有丰富的国际教育教学及管理经验。临港校区计划于2016年开设国际高中课程，并招收十年级新生。随着临港校区的开设，在上海的耀华得以将课程和教育服务从小学贯穿至高中，为更多中外籍适龄学生提供优质的教育课程及服务。
