Micron Technology's Legal Department is seeking a corporate attorney to be located in its Shanghai, China office whose principal duties will include commercial transactions, corporate governance and general transactional and corporate matters. The attorney may also be called on to assist with local employment counseling, litigation and compliance matters, as well as commercial and transactional matters throughout Asia or globally. The position will report into Micron’s global Legal Department structure. The position offers a very desirable combination of competitive salary, excellent benefits, and dynamic work environment in the high tech industry. Frequent China domestic travel and occasional international travel will be required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial transaction and corporate law background, with a minimum of three to six years of experience. Experience practicing in China in either a top law firm (Chinese or international) or in the legal department of a multinational corporation is required. Excellent Chinese and English written and verbal communication skills are required. The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage a large number and variety of critical and often time-sensitive projects. Experience in the high tech industry is preferred but is not required.
Education and Admission to Practice:
A law degree from a top Chinese law school is required. A license to practice law in China is preferred but not required. A JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited US law school is preferred but not required.
