The Business Entity
Cisco Service Provider Video Software and Service team provides end-to-end cable and IP video solutions that enable global service providers to bring together content from pay TV, online, OTT and on-demand sources and to combine these content with social media, communications, and mobility to create a truly immersive next generation multiple screen experience to video consumers.

The Team
Cisco Service Provider Software and Solution team is looking for a Software Engineer to design and develop CDN software for global based customers. This position is based in Shanghai, China.

Role & Responsibilities
The candidate’s main job includes, but not limited to, software requirements analysis, software design and development, documentation, and technical issue trouble shooting, in an agile fashion and under the scrum team structure. The candidate is expected to have experience and knowledge in all the aspect of software product development including QA and support. A successful candidate shall also be skillful at providing technical level communications to customers and Cisco cross functional teams at effective manner, in both Chinese and English language. The candidate must be self-motivated and act as a leading example to other team members.

? Analyze customer requirements, translate requirements into product features and user stories, develop software features, write technical documents, and trouble shoot software issues
? Trouble shoot software issues experienced by customers
? Evaluate technologies and tools to be used as part of the software development cycles

Minimum Qualifications
? 3+ year software design and development experience
? Strong knowledge in Java or C++ or Python
? Must have strong analytical skills at debugging complex problems on end to end systems
? Must have experience at supporting customers
? Having practiced agile development process and familiar with scrum team based environment
? Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Desired Skills
? Experience in developing CDN or Web Cache software is a big plus
? Experience in Continuous Integration and Deployment is a big plus
? Experience in Stash, GitHub is a plus
? Experience in remote configure and system monitoring is a plus
? Good Knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP is preferred
