SOURCING ENGINEER for AMETEK Inc. based in SHANGHAI, reporting directly to Sourcing Manager of Global Sourcing Organization (GSO).

Minimum Requirements

·English language proficiency is a MUST

·B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)

·Minimum of 3-year experiences in sourcing for Mechanical and/or Electrical Parts;

·Experience in sourcing for motor components and sub-assembly is a PLUS

·Additional experiences are desired in developing new suppliers and managing costs

·Understand concepts of Supply Chain Management, Sourcing Process, and Total Cost of Ownership

·Able to work on sourcing projects both independently and in a team environment

Job Description

·Receive sourcing project requisitions, review specifications and quality requirements

·Identify and determine appropriate supply sources, request for quotes, analyze quotes & negotiate prices

·Coordinate FA sample submission and qualification

·Initiate and drive Cost-reduction activities

·Commodity Price benchmarking and negotiation

·Supply base management and new supplier development

·Support new program launch
