General requirements

This document defines the minimum requirements that a resident engineer for HFK shall fulfil.

Requirements on a resident engineer:

- Technical background (engineering degree (M.Sc.), experience)

- Knowledge of European work modes and behaviours

- Good English knowledge, in best case German knowledge

- Act in a (self-)confident and authoritative manner

- Reliable in acting and giving statements

- Knowledge of communication ways and acting depending on them

- Be the interface between customer HRO and HFK (present at customer, prepare information, generate

overview of situations and customer questions, handle communication ways)

- Be own initiative when it comes to customer problems and questions (face situation, generate overview,

prepare information for HRO, HFK)

- Building up system know how with own initiative

- Acting on own initiative for finding solutions and clarifying doubts (information research, ask questions)

- Basic technical knowledge and application

- Electrotechnical knowledge (signals, bus systems, basic understanding)

- Electrotechnical basics in using hardware (measurements with oscilloscope, measurements with

calibration tools, measurements with analyse tools, handle electronic hardware equipment)

- Basic knowledge in using a personal computer and its tools (office, mail, managing of data sets,

structured folders and data sets), when possible experience with CANape, CANalyzer.

- experience in test bench tests and vehicle tests

- basic knowledge of vehicle engines

- basic knowledge of Signals and Bus-Signals (PWM, LIN and CAN)

- Organized work mode and documentation work

- "Smal talk" capable

- Intercultural knowledge

- Willingness to travel
