Position Summary:
The Network Systems Analyst is responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting and developing network solutions to support all IP services including client hosts connections, core wireless, Dialup, Internet and International networks. The scope encompasses support of all communications infrastructure including cables, switches, routers, firewalls, load-balancers and gateways in order to provide optimal performance for users and clients. This role will predominantly require working knowledge of product from Cisco, Checkpoint & Citrix.
Job Responsibilities:
Primarily: The role is to ensure that the necessary network infrastructure is adequately designed and in place to deliver, support and maintain First Data's high quality Electronic Funds Transfer services, covering both intra-corporate communications and client connectivity. Key measures of the role include maintaining high availability, high levels of customer satisfaction, meeting project schedules and operational targets (24/7) of LAN/WAN/Security infrastructure. The position would be expected to work as part of a regional/global team, and as such short term business trip are required (up to 1 week of duration).

Secondarily: The role requires supporting the current infrastructure using ITIL methodologies, processes and workflows. Efficient use of tools to ensure company SLA’s & KPI’s are met, as well as implement automation to reduce time-to-market and maintain high quality.

Key Activities:
? Cooperate with customers to implement the most adapted solutions for access to First Data services.
? Build, Configure and Installations of networking devices.
? Build, and implement IPSEC/VPN networks.
? Ordering and administration of Telecommunication link (Lease, Dial, and MPLS).
? Provide 2nd level support to First Data Internationals data communication services.
? Troubleshoot and resolve client facing technical issues in network services.
? Participate in on-call rotation.
? Protocol analysis including IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, frame relay, GPRS, PPP, MPLS and Access Control.
? Maintain and administer First Data's WAN for the online transaction and report delivery systems.
? Maintain and support Cisco routers and switches.
? Maintain and support core LAN and Office IP infrastructure.
? Regularly liaise with Client Services teams, service desks and 3rd line engineers.
? Network monitoring and Capacity planning.
? Maintain NAC & POS systems (Wireless, IP & PSTN).

Essential Skills / Experience Requirements
1. At least 5 Years work experience in this discipline or a related industry.
2. Proven ability to organise & prioritise multiple tasks on a daily basis.
3. Experienced in supporting Communications links at a 1st and 2nd level on a day to day basis.
4. Strong skills in producing detailed technical documentation.
5. Knowledge of Ethernet, DSL, Frame Relay, MPLS and wireless services.
6. Experience with monitoring systems and network monitoring tools.
7. Solid oral and written English allowing for smooth communication in a multinational team (verbal and written)
8. Good communication skills with team members (in country, in region & globally).
9. Strong analytical abilities with good level of investigative skills and attention to detail

12. Experience and flexibility regarding on-call responsibilities
13. Possesses advanced knowledge to install, configure and troubleshoot multiple types of networking hardware, including:
o Cisco 6500, 4500, 4000, and 3750, 3550 Catalyst Series Switches
o Cisco 7000 Nexus Switches
o Cisco 7200, 3900, 2900 and 4000 Series Routers
o Checkpoint 4000 series appliances
14. Possess working knowledge of Load-Balancing on F5 & Citrix Netscaller
15. Automation/scripting experience preferred
16. Experience within the Financial Services industry preferred

Education requirements:
? A tertiary qualification is expected in the Computer Science/Data Communications or related disciplines, alternatively, significant work experience to an equivalent level.
? CCNP, CCIE or equivalent industry experience
