Job Title: Pharmaceutical Technical Specialist, Health
Reports to: Health Technical Manager
Division: Health and Nutrition
Location: Zhang Jiang, Shanghai Pudong, PRC

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The pharmaceutical technical specialist will perform laboratory functions in an accurate and timely manner and provide technical solutions and support for customers.

He/she will be responsible for performing scientific experiments and issuing reports, problem solving for customers, formulation study and prototype samples preparation, lab safety, operation and mainten-ance of lab facilities and process equipment and lab inventory management etc.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
? Design and perform scientific experiments independently or in collaboration with experienced team members if necessary;
? Complete experiment recording, analyze the data and report it in English;
? Observe all safety regulations and safe chemical handling procedures as required in the lab;
? Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of lab equipment and instruments;
? Take charge of lab excipients and API inventory management;
? Meet the requirement of quality and timelines in all assigned projects;
? Provide technical support for customer projects, technical seminars and marketing activities;
? Provide support for other team members and visit customers to deliver technical presentations as required.
EXPECTATION & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor or master degree in pharmaceutics or pharmacy;
? Minimum 2 years experiences in pharmaceutical formulation (e.g. OSDF, suspension, sustained release matrix tablets & functional coating etc.), process development, technical service or manufacturing;
? Technical work experience in pharmaceutical excipient multi-national companies will be a plus;
? Good command of both spoken and written English;
? Proficient in MS office & statistic software.

? Self-motivated and being independent whilst also working as part of a team;
? Effective communication and presentation skills;
? Proven track record for attention to detail;
