As an engineer for our Controls and Electronics group, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented engineers to develop a variety of new and existing embedded control products.

General duties/responsibilities of this position will include the following:
? Perform root cause analysis and implement design changes to assure product integrity.
? Serve as the program manager for your products to deliver the desired product on time while communicating with the other departments within the Lennox Industries organization.
? Communicate project results to the corporation's leadership staff.
? Key contact between Asian suppliers and Lennox Controls Engineering Team through regular visits to the suppliers and weekly conference calls between suppliers and US/India teams.
? Ensure Lennox drawings and specifications are understood and followed by the suppliers in design, testing and manufacturing.
? Interact with suppliers to find the best components for the application while containing component costs.
? Perform supplier engineering capability evaluations and recommend supplier selection and improvements.
? Experienced with Design FMEA development and verification methods.
? Conduct characterization studies to define the critical performance features, CTQ (Critical to Quality) and related requirement for process capability.
? Develop reliability / design verification plans for each new material based on product design requirements and reliability goals.
? Conduct verification and reliability testing on subsystems and components.
? Provide design input to improve product reliability and meet specification when necessary.
? Prepare concise and detailed test plans and test reports. Support testing activities in LASEC lab, supplier’s lab or the third party lab in Asia.
? Interact with a wide variety of individuals and teams to communicate results Lead and provide guidance in the development of product and materials specifications for prototypes and verification testing protocols. Coordinate verification testing activities.
? Actively participate in the investigation of technological advancements or new technologies and provide conceptual or practical applications for these technologies within the Lennox business units.
? Provide sustaining engineering support of existing products. Prepare and coordinates verification and validation activities during investigation and design change activities. Find the material cost reduction opportunities for controls products.
? Assist the Supplier Development teams in evaluation of processes to support critical characteristics and proposed changes to product.

Some travel required; international travel possible.

Job Requirements:
? A Master's degree in Electrical Engineer is required with at least 2 years experience in design of analog, digital, and mixed signal circuitry and embedded microprocessors using through-hole and surface mount technologies.
? Must have experience with the full life cycle of product development from concept to manufacturing and on into product maintenance.
? Experience with Power Electronic designs for inverters and motor controllers.
? Experienced in utilizing schematic capture and PCB layout software to document your design is a plus.
? Experienced with circuit simulation and PADs PC board layout software is a plus.
? Capable of performing general soldering; operation of scopes, meters and general lab equipment.
? Experienced with environmental and transient condition testing of the electronic controls.
? Certification experience with UL and CE is a plus.
? Can think creatively with the ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures.
? Must have demonstrated the capability to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time.
? Demonstrated project management skills.
? Need to be able to communicate with other departments; gain support and commitment from others; and mobilizes people to take action.
? Have the ability to communicate technical information to internal Lennox Industries management and external suppliers.
? Proficiently in speaking and writing in English.
? Skilled in using Microsoft Office Products (Word?, Excel ?, PowerPoint ?). Experience with MSProject? is a plus.
? Experience in the HVAC or appliance industries is a plus.
? Experience with the vapor compression cycle for a refrigeration system is a plus. 举报 分享
