BASIC FUNCTIONS

The Supplier Quality Engineer of the Horizon Shagnhai Office, be responsible for a full range of supplier development and new project launching in accordance to Horizon quality objectives.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier Development Part:
- Conduct Quality System /Social Responsibility/EHS audit / blitz in suppliers, work with suppliers to identify action list & follow up on improvements.
- Follow up corrective actions for the CA issued by SBU, conduct 8D reports for root cause analysis, short term implement actions, and preventive actions with PM. To review and verify the CA progress for closing.
- Follow up the progress for open quality gaps issued from ASO or SBU.
- Process audit for key suppliers which include welding and hardware.
- Prepare the 3rd party auditing for supplier social responsibility, coach suppliers for open gap closing and corrective actions.

New Project Support Part:
- Audit new suppliers for PM supply base optimization.
- Review the timeline schedule with PM for new project launching.
- Early involvement on project launching by PPAP review, engineering support, and improvement which requested by USA stakeholder.
- For newly launched products, prepare ASO IR template according to control plan and send to Supplier Manager for approval.
- Provide on-site support for any urgent needs requested by Horizon Global.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
1. Knowledgeable in standards and theory of metals, casting, forging, heat treatment methods
2. Professional attitude and strong communication, (able to listen and provide guidance)
3. Confident personality to support teams
4. Quality engineer / technician degree Basic
