POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manage all international import/export and China customs activities and documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree.
-2-3 years of international import/export and China customs experience.
-Some experience working in purchasing field preferred.
-Some experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
-Knowledge of spreadsheet, word-processing, and manufacturing-control software applications is required.
-Good English language written and verbal skills.
-Familiar with MRP systems.
-Some experience in production planning, purchasing, inventory control, high volume manufacturing.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Some knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or other similar MRP/ERP systems preferred.
-International purchasing, import/export, and China customs experience.

Position Responsibilities:


§ Responsible for the Injection Molding process, providing technical leadership and managing major projects.
§ Responsible for automation, manufacturing processes and related systems
§ Responsible for maintenance, repair, and modification of Rain Bird tools operated in China
§ Responsible for evaluation and development of tooling sources in China for both tool procurement as well as tool repair and maintenance
§ Responsible for supervision and mentoring of one or more Tool and Process Engineers
§ Responsible for specification and procurement of new tools for products and projects supported by Engineering group in North America
§ Responsible to act as a liaison to North American Tool Engineers for procurement of new tooling in China
Minimum Qualifications:


§ BS Degree in an Engineering discipline
§ Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
§ Knowledge of scientific molding including DOEs
§ 10+ years of hands-on experience managing injection molding Engineering operation
§ Proven track record of developing complex mold tooling for production of high quality, low cost, high volume components
§ Excellent theoretical and applied knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts
§ Working knowledge of quality improvement and lean manufacturing methods
§ Well organized, enthusiastic, high energy, strong work ethic
§ Ability to perform financial analysis and cost justifications
§ Working knowledge of plastic and elastomeric materials
§ Working knowledge of statistical process control and process capability
§ Ability to provide excellent customer service and obtain results working with others
§ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel, Outlook, Project)
Desired Qualifications:


§ Proficient in the use of CAD (SolidWorks) and mold flow analysis
§ English proficiency spoken and written
§ Working knowledge of thermoset/compression molding, co-molding, flash-less rubber molding, multi-shot molding, in-mold decorating, etc.
§ Experience in procuring tooling in China
§ Experience in lean manufacturing techniques
