RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preventative maintenance and repairs on all machines and equipment in the plant; including heating, plumbing and electrical. Installing and moving production machines and manufacturing equipment; diagnosing and repairing machine malfunctions, including electrical, electronic or mechanical failure. Perform equipment buyoff, installation and validation. Modify PLC and robot programs. Configure and troubleshoot vision systems. Service, repair and perform preventive maintenance on vibratory systems. Perform capability studies to establish process parameters. Perform setups of production machines and assist with housekeeping, materials handling, and supervise or perform janitorial tasks as needed. Also assists in training of temps and lower skilled mechanics. Skills required include pipe fitting, welding, machine shop skills, reading of complex blueprints and plant layouts. In addition should be capable of diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic circuits and PLC ladder logic and interface issues, as well as machine vision system and automatic robot.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial and equipment maintenance.

· Post high school education

· Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic). Ability to work independently and with others in a group.

· Experience with PLC and ultrasonic welding knowledge is a must

· Mechanical aptitude.

· Ability to handle multiple work objectives

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong troubleshooting skills on automated equipment

· Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic controls

· Ability to modify PLC programs for complex automated manufacturing equipment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associates degree in an Engineering discipline from a reputable trade school.

· Experience in high-speed continuous motion production line.

· Extensive experience in plastic molding and assembly operations.
