BASIC PURPOSE: Function as a Project Manager within NSF (Shanghai) Testing Company Ltd and manage assigned projects, with focus on testing projects in the area of toys, dietary supplements and ingredients and food equipment. Provide service which leads to customer satisfaction and repeat business. Apply technical expertise in areas of dietary supplements, toy, and food safety, and food contact materials.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Manage and track projects using standard project management tools

2. Work with NSF International Marketing to assist in the development of marketing items. Provide technical review of marketing and sales literature.

3. Occasional travel domestically/internationally for evaluations, testing, client visits, and trade shows.

4. Prepare and maintain project setup sheets, file tracking spreadsheets, financial tracking spreadsheets, and give regular updates to management, working within NSF software systems (Oracle, LIMS, etc.).

5. Write project proposals providing details on project and experimental design, timeline and pricing. Ensure that resources and capabilities are in line for the execution of all phases of the projects.

6. Distribute client invoices. Communicate with the customers and handle customer requests for additional invoice or statement of account copies. Initiate collection activities by contacting customer regarding outstanding invoices.

7. Interface with NSF (Shanghai) Testing Company Ltd laboratory staff and management on projects involving testing services. Work with laboratories to ensure that the reports meet the requirements of the clients.

8. Coordinate with other NSF sites for projects involving certification business.

9. Manage cross-functional project teams.

10. Serve as back-up in the area of shipping and receiving for the site.

11. Perform other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree;

2. A minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience including experience in providing excellent customer service.

3. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

4. Fluent in Mandarin, proficient in English

5. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

6. Ability and willingness to learn required technical information; possess a “technical bent”.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

8. Ability to work well with others, engaging personality.

9. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with limited direction.

10. Excellent attention to detail.

11. Strong time and project management skills.

12. Ability to learn new technical areas outside of primary area of expertise.

13. Strong technical writing skills.

14. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the areas of food contact materials, toy safety and dietary supplements.

2. Working knowledge of GMP/GLP laboratory practices and US FDA guidelines for dietary supplements.

3. Previous experience in a chemistry laboratory testing against various parameters.
