Job Title: Senior Supplier Development Engineer
Dept. SD Dept.
Immediate Supervisor: SD Manager
Job Summary
Qualify and develop suppliers according to sourcing strategy, provide technical and quality support to the sourcing activities/projects and assure the delivery of parts/components meeting Cargotec requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Support or conduct technical and quality review at potential supplier
2. Supplier development/improvement - qualification of the potential suppliers
3. Managing sampling process according to Cargotec quality procedures
4. Initiate supplier improvement activities through suppliers audit (system and process), pre-release of deliveries when necessary
5. Support and communicate between Cargotec plants (world-wide) and suppliers in terms of technical and quality issues, e.g. complaint handling, problem solving
6. Support further supplier development activities to improve supplier's QDC performance, e.g. waste elimination, capacity development, lean
Qualification and Skills
o Good English skills, both oral, written and technical terms(mechanical and quality)
o Colledge/University Degree with major in engineering and the like
o Familiar with the manufacturing processes of mechanical parts, especially for steel structure (weldments).
o Familiar with ISO9001/TS16949 quality management system and tools
o 5-10 years working in mechanical manufacturing company or similar industry, with SDE/SQE experiences, certified IWE (international welding engineer) preferred.
o Accept high-frequency travelling, result oriented, ability to work under pressure
o Good communication and PC skills, open minded, good team player and networker.
