JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:Technical Advisor
Department: Quality Assurance
Job Location: Shanghai

Responsible product groups:
Furnitures, Garden, Tools (Power Tools, Hand Tools), BBQ, Building Materials etc.

Responsibilities:
-Consulting of merchandisers and manufacturers in QA concerns
. Advises merchandisers the quality requirement based on internal Test Plan
. Responds to any enquires of manufactures about testing requirements
. Explains supplier the required testing procedure (before buyer places the order)
. Explanation and clarification of provided testing results

-Ensure that manufacturers and testing institutes follow correct testing requirements
. Check & release of submitted reports

-Evaluation of product risk & failure analysis
. Conduct internal FFU, construction check,
. Handling of internal & external customer complaints

-Creation, completion and verification of TCF and testing requirements
. Base on existing PAP (Product Requirement Profile)/GTR (General Testing Requirement)

-Communication between HK head office & Service Provider & Partner QA in Europe
. HK head office: communicate with and report to Head of Quality Management
. Service Provider: handling of technical enquiries (contents of CC/Lab test/Inspection)
. Partner QA: enquiry regarding PAP/WADA, confirmation of testing requirements, request for the acceptance of limit deviation by agreement of HQM

-Communication with internal inspection team (PSI) in Mainland China
. Conduct onsite trainings
. Check & release of incoming internal inspection reports
. Conduct onsite performance check for internal inspectors

- Follow up and review of inspection & testing orders
. Check & release of submitted reports
. Archive the accepted certs/reports into Technical Files

-Organizing & conducting internal trainings for merchandisers & inspectors
. Introducing new joiner in test requirements and testing procedures
. Briefing on special topics like any changes in product requirements, testing during the
inspection, development of market…

-Supplier evaluation, release & monitoring
. Perform factory audits (FA)
. Check FA report and prepare CAP & systematic follow up of CAP
. Check docs acc. to supplier release process, follow up & reporting

-Sample evaluation, IM check & improvement
. Conduct regular sample checks base on IM/product risk/request by merchandising
. Ensure the required improvements are done before sending sample to buyer

-Observation & Monitoring of internal ISO Processes
. Conduct regular internal audits within the responsible product groups

Qualifications & Requirements:
. Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
. Profound knowledge in EU-requirements: CE, Directives : LVD,EMC, Machine, Battery
. Profound knowledge in chemical testings : RoHS,REACH, PAH, Phthalates etc.
. Good communication & problem-solving skills, teamworking abilities
. 2 years working experience in testing company (GS Mark) or related fields preferable
. Further experience for non-commercial goods like shopping carts, baskets & store equipment is an advantage
. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PPT
. Proficient in both spoken & written English, Putonghua
. Immediate availability
