As a Fixed Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer in our Shanghai Engineering Group, you will be responsible for the life cycle management of fixed assets, including chemical process vessels such as pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks, fired equipment and thermal oil heaters, and piping systems. The group is accountable for new equipment installation as a part of capital project execution and the reliability of existing equipment in chemical process plants. Typical activities include inspection, mechanical integrity evaluation, fitness for service determination, oversight of repair and alteration, and new equipment inspection and testing.

The ideal candidate will have "hands on" experience in chemical manufacturing plants, including a working knowledge of storage tank, process vessel and piping inspection, along with the application of nondestructive testing technologies; experience with failure mechanisms, including corrosion; and equipment repair and life extension strategies. The candidate must be willing to travel 25-30% domestically and internationally.


Required Qualifications
? Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related engineering field.
? 5-10 years of experience in the chemical process, refining, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries.
? Experience in welding and joining techniques.
? In service and new construction inspection and the application of NDE.
? Experience with quality assurance practices and programs.
? Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Chinese languages.

Desired Qualifications
? Experience in the application of mechanical integrity concepts.
? Experience with executing Inspection, Testing and Preventive Maintenance practices.
? International experience and familiarity with Chinese and international standards and codes.
? Professional certification by API, NACE, ASNT or AWS.
? Applicants must be able to work in China and travel to the United States and Europe.
