To manage the testing and assembly of Wire ropes , Wire rope slings , Chain slings and other lifting , rigging or safety products / assemblies in accordance with Australian Standards and company policy or procedure.

Major Functions:

Health, Safety and the Environment:

Provide input regarding matters that may affect the safety and health of all employees as well as the environment.

Attend all required HSE training sessions and completed all the necessary paperwork as requested.

Communicate any identified HSE issues to appropriate HSE contact.

Take all reasonable care for the health and safety of all people and the environment at work.

Cooperate with the WIS requirements for measures designed to protect the health and safety of all people and the environment at work.

Testing

Correct interpretation Operating procedures covering press operations, socketing operations , chain sling assembly, winder and coiling machine operations, horizontal and vertical testing equipment

Familiarity with the requirements of all standards or testing procedures in use in the testing laboratory

Correct use of Testing procedures

Correct use of test certificate procedures

Documentation and facility daily maintenance for yearly audit

Strong computer skills

Qualification / Education / Knowledge
Mechanical Engineering qualific
Familiar with machining and heat treatment processes
Experience in manufacturing/design
