Responsibilities:

Built up and lead the department of Supplier Development Purchasing
Identify and develop the supplier base according to business requirements and purchasing strategies
Drive the continuous improvement programs/activities to reach zero defects
Supervise and drive the observation and analysis of the supplier market
Supervise and drive the set-up of purchasing (commodity) strategies
Supervise and drive the fulfillment of the regional quality commodity strategy and control over the costs in his/her commodities by SD Team
Supervise and drive the documentation and follow-up of the necessary activities to fulfill the strategy by appropriate means according to the actual set of tools by Supplier Development Team
Supervise and drive the supplier complaint management according to the defined escalation levels, including leading task force and executing trouble shooting in case of supplier delivery and quality problems
Supervise and drive the release process of new suppliers through potential analysis
Supervise and drive the execution of supplier zero defects purchasing project management
Take part and drive the supplier nomination (sourcing decision)
Visit relevant fairs, (international) conferences and congresses
Prepare and participate on customer audits for purchasing department
Develop a high efficient and performing organization, incl. resource allocation, employee training, coaching and development, headcount planning, etc.
Introduce and develop necessary tools to manage necessary tasks
Initiate and drive process optimization and improvement activities
Assure to comply with the budget concerning responsible department
Support general tasks of purchasing functions
Act for colleagues as instructed by supervisor


Requirements:

5+ years' experience in a similar position at MNC from automotive industries
Hand on experience and knowledge in supplier management and/or quality management
Sound experience and knowledge in TS16949 requirements and supplier audits
Familiar with manufacturing processes and technologies
Familiar with standard tools like MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power-Point and SAP
Excellent knowledge of supplier quality management/assurance
Excellent knowledge of quality management (methods/tools)
Good experience and knowledge in purchasing affairs
Excellent negotiation skills
Good experience in leading cross-functional/ cross-cultural teams
Strong commitment to business targets
Capable to manage complex projects
Strategic thinking and structured approach of tasks
Understand easily complex technical matters
Understand easily complex business matters
Fluent English in speaking and writing
