As a part of the Voith Hydro Power Generation group, the Shanghai operating unit is the group’s largest manufacturing base in the eastern hemisphere. It was established in December, 1994,by Voith Hydro and Shanghai Electrical Corporation (SEC). Its registered capital is 43 million USD with a 80% subsidiary of Voith, and managed by German Side. Voith Hydro Shanghai has direct access to the state-of-the-art technology. It operates its businesses according to the high international quality standard of Voith Hydro and enjoys the full management support from one of the world’s premier suppliers of hydro generation equipment and services.

Voith Hydro Shanghai provides engineering, manufacturing, erection supervision and commissioning to serve the hydro power market in China and Asia Pacific as a committed partner. Highlights of its development are:
