Illuminate is a lighting design practice with offices in Melbourne, Hong Kong and Singapore. We have very high standards and are super passionate about our work.

Our work is primarily focused in Asia and includes 5 & 6 star hotels, corporate office buildings, high-end residential, bars and restaurants. This is an opportunity for an aspiring, motivated and articulate designer. The role will be to assist and Singapore office on all China projects. Tasks will be primarily focused on site visit and representing illuminate in China, depending upon the applicant this could also increase to Photoshop rendering, hand sketching, drafting lighting layouts and control system schematics, compiling luminaire schedules, arranging luminaire samples and mock-ups, sourcing new products, including product information, and keeping both the electronic and hard-copy libraries updated.

Cleary communication will be a major element to this role so being bilingual (Spoken & Written, Chinese & English) is essential.

The role will suit a graduate designer with a background in lighting design, interior design, architecture or industrial design. The candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for design and possess aspirations to either become a lighting designer or furthur their career in lighting design. The successful candidate will be a creative and innovative thinker with a strong AutoCAD and Photoshop skills. Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Suite CS4/5 and Microsoft Office are required. Some experience or exposure to Di9alux, AGI, Sketch-Up and 3D rendering software is desirable.
