Sales Manager, Corporate Travel Industry


The Sales manager role offers an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to build a business from the ground up, through focused efforts on client acquisition throughout the Chinese market. Building a solid corporate client base will require a team player with a proven track record in both sales and account management.

Responsibilities:

- Drive local sales activities for Egencia China, from lead generation to sales negotiation, contracting and
after-sales relationship maintenance.
- Develop pipeline clients to ensure a large base of prospects accounts for continuous sales growth;
- Aggressively seek accounts of competitors and opportunities for new sales deals.
- Support global sales bids with China component, especially when prospects need to be engaged locally.
- Support China implementation activities and consulting projects when needed.
- Persistently approach prospects to win new business, achieve sales target assigned by management team
- Understand the needs of the customer
- Build consultative solution according to specific scenario
- Present solution proposed
- Contract negotiation, deploy the pricing strategy
- Drive solution implementation, coordinate externally and internally
- Cooperate with finance, operation and supplier
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitors and target Markets
- Network with the travel related industry at public events & forums
- Understand what's happening in the travel industry, client's business requirement and work sales leader to
identify gaps in current Value Proposition, re-define value proposition, strengths to clearly differentiate
CITS American Express from competitors


Criteria for Success:

- Can start, maintain and secure a client relationship culminating in a win
- Can adapt communication style and presentation technique depending on client
- Can search client opportunities through a variety of media sources or cold calls
- Is driven by a strong desire to win

Skills/Competencies Required:

- Strong commitment to the service of Egencia customers
- The successful candidate should be a self-starter
- Excellent problem solving skills. The successful candidate will be able to lead problem solving
himself/herself and engage in constructive and rich joint problem solving sessions with the rest of the China
team
- Strong communications skills. The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication
skills in both Chinese and English, able to succinctly create documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint that are
customer, partner and internal stakeholder ready
- The successful candidate should be a team player and be open to feedback
- Ability to demonstrate excellent selling and negotiation skills including experience of contracts and processes
- Outstanding time-management skills
- Expertise in selling corporate travel service in China a preferred
- Good level of English both in written and verbal communication
