职位描述

POSITION: Project Quality Assurance Manager



REPORTING TO: Construction Director/General Manager



RESPONSIBILITY: To take ownership of the Project Quality Assurance System and manage & direct project personnel to achieve, time, quality, environmental & safety objectives in a way that fosters repeat business with each client and builds/maintains positive relationships with contractors, consultants and architects.



AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:



Requires self initiated activities to achieve the objectives of the client within the framework of Cockram's working environment and manage a diverse range of activities related to the Quality Assurance system on the project concurrently.



1. Interacting with clients as required, de-briefing and interpreting the client needs, and translating their requirements into a workable solution. Providing feedback on client needs to project team members and assisting sub contractors to achieve the intent of the Project Quality Assurance Documentation.

2. Supporting the Project Manager in managing consultants and contractors who are required as part of a project team, including:

? Defining Quality Deliverables

? Managing Quality Documentation

3. Supporting the Project Manager in managing the quality assurance aspects of client and consultant meetings.

4. Managing the flow of information throughout the project quality team to ensure they are accurately informed as to the status of the project, in order to achieve performance targets.

5. Ensuring project quality documentation is developed, utilised and signed off in a timely manner.

6. Promote Cockram's professional image and develop new business opportunities with potential/existing clients.

7. Seeking out customer feedback, both positive and negative, and providing feedback to the project team.

8. Oversee activities by Project Quality Teams such as reviews of their quality systems / Documentation and results.

9. Input quality requirements into the tender documentation.

10. Provide input to, oversee and report progress and trouble shoot against the quality plan.

11. Supporting the Project Manager by proactively managing the project quality in accordance with the requirements of the Project Quality Assurance Plan (PQAP).

12. Supporting the Project Manager by proactively managing the project quality management system in accordance with the requirements of the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP).

13. Supporting the Project Manager by proactively managing the environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of the Project Environmental Management Plan (PEMP).

14. Drafting and typing general correspondence and e-mail.Assisting with both technical and personal development of project staff, ie. Quality assistants, through coaching, regular feedback and formal performance reviews.

15. Planning and prioritising all work to anticipate backlogs.

16. Preparing any necessary work flow schedules and monitoring same to enable meeting of reporting deadlines.

17. Keeping under constant review all duties and practices and recommending and actively participating in developing new and improved methods to meet changing demands.

18. Performing each task from inception to conclusion to the highest possible standards.

19. Informing the Project Manager on the progress of the work on all significant matters relating to or arising from the duties and functions under your control.

20. Ensuring that you maintain the name and goodwill of the company at all times.

21. Develop strategies to promote efficient and cost effective work practices and monitor and analyse work practices and cost factors within the project team.



PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline, or a Quality Assuarnce background is required.



EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 8 years experience in site based construction roles that have provided experience in all aspects of project delivery.



SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

1. Ability to work in English and posses excellent written and oral English.

2. Ability to manage all aspects of project utilities installation including:

? Quality

? Safety

3. Computer literate with a sound working knowledge of word processing, spread sheet, project programming, database or project management packages and e-mail.

4. A good working understanding of the principles of 'Forecast Cost at Completion'.

5. Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, with a sense of urgency, to meet constant deadlines.

6. Well organised, an ability to prioritise, with good time management skills.

7. Have the presence, confidence and knowledge to quickly instil confidence in clients that Cockram can meet their expectations.

8. Capability of gathering information to make informed timely and smart decisions to the best benefit of the company.

9. The ability to manage a team providing leadership and direction on the critical aspects of projects, including identification and taking action where performance is not meeting expectations.

10. Ability to manage the risk aspects of contracts including the ability to protect the company's contractual position with appropriately written correspondence.

11. Possess good people management skills including:

? an ability to manage conflict

? an ability to work and deal with people at different levels

? being approachable

? the ability to allow appropriate balance in people's working lives

12. A strong working knowledge of project safety requirements.
