IT DIRECTOR
About Us:
TongJuBao (P2P Protect) brings the collaborative economy to the insurance field. We bring people together in large communities so that they can share risk and protect each other. We are a start-up growing in China and soon in US and Europe, with a disruptive model that can change one big conservative industry, insurance, for people to take power to help and protect each other in their own hands.
Role Summary/Purpose – We need you to:
Lead IT development team:
schedule developments,
project manage,
resolve or arbitrate blocking points
mentor and train the team.
Co-design (with user, risk and operating team) the system build-up and evolution according to:
User on-boarding and lifelong journey
Claim management, fraud & risk management
CRM, virality, retention, up-sales facilitation
Products individual functionalities requirement
Data accumulation, analysis and usage
Money flows and rights computation
Optimize the system
In its statics and dynamic dimensions
For reliability, performance, flexibility, security, interoperability
For fast flexible implementation first, then for scaling as business volume grow
For duplication and adaptation internationally.
We are a small and growing organization and we would expect that you will:
? Be a major stakeholder in technical & business discussions defining future architecture
? Design and development of a roadmap and implementation
? Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends
Basic Qualifications:
? Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
? A minimum of 8 years of professional experience
? Experience in Agile and Scrum environments
? Capacity to operate in multi-cultural and later multi-country environment
? Fluent English required
Technical Expertise:
? Understands future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
? Familiar with elements of gathering architecture requirements.
? Familiar with multiple development language including Java
? Aptitude for quickly learning new technologies
? Strong presentation and explanation skills
Business Acumen:
? Coaches and mentors team members. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong oral and written communication skills
? Works to assure work is on-time and within budget.
? Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. Can identify and raise issues, risks and benefits.
