EIRE Systems is looking for an experienced Structured Cabling Infrastructure Project Manager who is able to start quickly, to work with our top financial services clients on a major IT infrastructure projects.
Successful candidates will be responsible for managing the implementation of new IT infrastructure projects, including design, tendering, site implementation, vendor management and testing for a large international financial organization. Candidates may also be required to evaluate, analyze and recommend multiple solutions. Projects will involve the
design and management of a large Structured Cabling plant, with data centre/machine room components.

Candidates should be detail-oriented and logical, with good communication and documentation skills. Candidates should be comfortable working on mission-critical projects in fast-paced environments.

Objectives

The candidate should be comfortable working without supervision and must be able to identify and prioritize tasks.

The candidate should be experienced in the planning and implementation of a wide array of technical and business projects. The individual must be able to identify and address the hardware, software, planning, scheduling and personnel issues pertinent to the implementation of an effective infrastructure project.

Additionally, the following specific knowledge would be advantageous:

• Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English.
• As this is primarily a Structured Cabling position, demonstrated ability to design and project manage (including vendor/site management) of top-tier enterprise-level cabling projects will be required.
• At least 5 years in E & M or Data center related projects with experience in dealing with investment banking projects
• Experience of planning and implementing a large IT Project, or several smaller projects, and able to demonstrate such experience, with Networking / Server knowledge & support.
• Project planning for structured cabling design, distributed platforms and networks, data centres, major IT relocation projects.
• Project management skills, including scheduling, resourcing and vendor management. Budgets, proposal justification and cost analysis.
  
• Competent use of presentation and project management software.
• Knowledge of investment banking IT concepts, with an emphasis on the type of applications and infrastructure used to support Dealing Room and Operations functions.
• Expert use of AutoCAD as a design and presentation tool.
• Strong experience on facilities management, telecommunication technologies
• Good knowledge on Data center environment monitoring systems.
• Experience of working with and managing a diverse team on IT Staff, and third party vendors.
• RCDD, RTPM or RITP holder is a PLUS.
• Candidates with less experienced will be considered for Engineering role.
