Job Title: Merchandising Manager ( kids night wear)
Job Purpose: To manage the business with a view to achieving the Company’s growth and objectives
Report to: Global Sourcing Executive (UK based)
Education, Experiences, Skills & Behavioural Expectation:
- Over 10 years merchandising experience in the garment industry with at least 5 years at the managerial level.
- Solid product knowledge on different types of garment especially kids garment. Licensed character business experience is plus, such as Disney, Warner Brother and etc.
- Familiar with UK market and clients are plus
- Formal University’s education in textile or garment disciplines
- Excellent command of English and good communication skills
- Previous experience in multinational buying agent / buying office
- Client face, business driver, strategic, people management skills, confident, innovative, logical thinker
- Negotiation and organizing skills, aesthetic sense, strong business acumen, adherence to company policies and procedures
- Integrity, resource conscious, tolerant to stress, proactive, dynamic, result-oriented, sense of urgency and deadline conscious, attention to details
Key Accountabilities:


- Achieve KPIs.
- Drive Business Growth
- Achieve Time Delivery
- Reduce Quality Claims
- Manage Expenses within the budget
- Responsible for sourcing, developing and maintaining supplier base to match the demand of UK clients
- Manage clients’ accounts and handle their requests by providing trouble - shooting assistance
- Respond to and follow up inquiries, issues and problems raised by clients
- Monitor the selection process for new vendors to ensure they match a specific client need or new business opportunity and fit with company expectations in terms of ethical values, technical competence and social compliance
- Drill down on quality claims to establish the source of the claims and ensure corrective action is effectively implemented to prevent recurrence of the problem
- Ensure that the teams are following the ‘Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the company
- Evaluate performance of factories to ensure that they meet clients’ requirements
- Manage the sup audit including ethical and quality audit required by clients
