The Job:
Perform a variety of analytical and modeling activities with the objective of improving or transforming customer supply chains. These activities include productivity and efficiency analysis, cycle time reductions, optimizing networks, facilities and processes. Will be expected to not only analyze problems, but develop designs that are realistic and can be implemented, that maximize total resource effectiveness, reduce costs, and achieve the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction. Candidate will apply their skills to customer facing environments, for single locations or entire networks.

Project Development:
To working with the account owner and customers to develop project scope.
To develop project plan to engage and collaborate with subject matter experts.
Can synthesize hard (quantitative) and soft (qualitative) data into a comprehensive baseline or solution.

Data Analysis & Observation
To work with a substantial amount of complex data, both quantitative and qualitative, and must understand what it means, and how to increase its integrity.
To diagnose and analyze customer-provided data.
To gather information on processes through observation and interviews.
To match disparate data records with information gathered through observation/interviews/assumptions/constraints.
To communicate trends and challenges to the users of the models or solutions they produced.

Building Models & Developing Simulations
To use sophisticated software tools such as to build models, and must understand all the aspects (mathematics, constraints, business processes, etc) of modeling.
To develop Excel/Access based models for lighter projects.
To develop in-depth knowledge of the situation so that the current process can be adequately “baseline” or assessed, and detailed solutions developed.
To refresh and overhaul models as required and welcomes and incorporates real life business feedback

Presentation & Communication
To collaborate with several parties including clients, subcontractors/suppliers, and internal sales, account management and product organizations. Must develop in-depth knowledge of the situation so that the current process can be adequately “baselined” or assessed, and detailed solutions developed.
To present project progress at milestone events
To participate in the finished project presentation to the customer.

The Qualifications:
Degree/Masters in Industrial Engineering, Decision Science or Operation Research.
Minimum 2 – 3 years’ relevant working experience in analytical or solutions development functions around supply chain projects is preferred.
Must possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Degree on mathematics, statistics, computer science or other relevant engineering disciplines could also be considered but then proven and relevant working experience is a definite must.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
