Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability:

1.Work with suppliers to confirm understanding of inspection techniques, perform supplier audits and design and implement Quality supplier rating systems. Work with Buyers to assist in the development of new suppliers.
2.Generate reports for distribution to various users in the organization, customers or suppliers.
3.Support development of quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines and control plans which assure quality and reliability as part of the Manufacturing Plans.

Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1.Able to understand and interpret Machine drawings.
2.Working knowledge of gauges used in the quality process and calibration procedures.
3.Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and Quality tools (i.e. 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone, etc.).
4.Working knowledge of statistical problem solving tools, Plus:
5.Able to conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility
6.Strong facilitation skills and the ability to effectively promote change.

Qualifications:

- Education
Post-secondary education (engineering degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE or CQSE), or agreed on Professional Development Plan to achieve certification (ASQ or equivalent preferred).

- Related Experience
Basic level of relevant work experience:
Approx. 3 years
Six Sigma Green Belt and Auditor experience is preferable
