Hannover Re Shanghai Branch’s Property & Casualty Facultative team is mainly focusing on the lines of Engineering, Property, Casualty, and Motor.
This internship post is to provide opportunities for selected outstanding students who would like to start a career in the global reinsurance industry and would like to understand and learn through hands-on experience.


Key Responsibilities:
? Work alongside experienced underwriters in the Property & Casualty Facultative team, to learn all aspects of underwriting process and understand how to assess and evaluate risks;
? Assist in underwriting information collection, underwriting data entering into the IT system and paper filing;
? Assist in team head and other underwriters’ daily administration work;
? Assist in underwriting – related market research work.

Key Skills and Abilities:
? To be self-motivated with a keen interest to learn;
? Good team-player;
? Good Communication and Presentation Skills;
? Analytical skills with an attention to details;
? Strong aptitude for problem solving.

Minimum Requirements:
? First Class bachelor degree (preferably in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy, Economics, Law or Insurance) or above from an established University;
? A strong command of English Language;
? A good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
? Be available at least three days per week;
? Three months Internship Contract. Could be renewed based on performance.
