This Position will support QAD EE environment in Global Regions and act as the Subject Matter Expert for all things QAD support.
Primary Scope:
- Server Administration, infrastructure setup, maintenance.
- Monitor and optimize QAD progress database Performance.
- Daily troubleshooting, resolve QAD issues transferred from the Helpdesk. Act as L3/L4 Support SME.
- QAD database backup monitor and execution. Set up Testing and Development environments as need;
- QAD batch job setup and running maintenance;
- Database dump load and index rebuild;
- Prepare required SOX documents;
- Work closely with global business and IT teams to resolve the issues and close the ticket;
Stretch Goals:
- Grow up China QAD support and development teams.
- Deliver QAD projects, implement standard functions and customization include both functional and technical areas.
Job Requirements:
？ Must have good communications in verbal and written English. Team player in global environment.
？ 7+ years working experiences in IT area, 4+ years in QAD Administration and Support. QAD Enterprise Edition 2013 and Progress Database 11.3 environment is a plus.
？ QAD application knowledge in two of the following areas: EDI, Eagle Barcode, Doclib and Minisoft eFORMz, Demand Planning, MQ1, Advanced Warehousing, Eagle RF Devices
？ Very strong Technical knowledge and good functional knowledge
？ Strong troubleshooting and debug
？ Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
？ Be familiar with project life cycle and development process
Technical Skills:
？ Expert of Server infrastructure skills, UNIX, Linux and shell skills.
？ Strong Progress RDBMS and programing skills
？ Strong Tomcat and QAD .netui
？ Strong problem solving and analytical skills
