Fabric Sourcing merchandiser

* To be a technical advisor on fabric quality and application on garment products to meet buyers’ requirement as well as corporate quality standard.
* Sourcing fabrics according to buyers’ request (per description from email, or original fabric sample). Communicate the sourcing requirements to different suppliers and then send out the fabric options for buyers’ selection.
* To help find new interesting fabrics that are priced in the area company needs for our market. To help vendors develop the fabrics with their mills. To help internally work with the staff on issues with fabric approvals, communications with USA etc.
* Keep abreast of fabric trends with the ability to translate into marketing and business opportunities.
* Provide technical advice on fabric related issue to both internal colleagues and external entities like suppliers.
* Accompany buyers to visit fabric mills and attend the fabric fair.

Main Requirement
* Bachelor degree, major in Textile Engineer, Industrial Engineer, BA Degree is preferred.
* Experience of fabric and yarn production, preferably experience from similar position in buying office or representative office.
* Must have solid knowledge of printing and dyeing techniques.
* Good command of written and oral English
* Good communication skill & working attitude
* Business minded and interest in fashion
