Job Description – Ocean Freight Operator

We are currently seeking a highly motivated OceanFreight Operator in our Shanghai office. The successful candidate will administer and control oceanfreight export shipments. By investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking account of the nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security. Highly organized and fully conversant with all aspects of ocean freight procedures are essential requirements of this role.

? Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation

? Booking freight with shipping lines, co-loader, etc.

? Liaising with clients, overseas agents, freight forwarders and internal departments

? Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight

? Maintain customer relationships and assist in maintaining and growing the current business, by providing effective solutions to the client's needs.

Job Requirements:

? Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in export oceanfreight (freight forwarding)

? College graduate or above

? Fluent in English

? Ability to work under pressure while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines

? Ability to follow standard operating procedures and provide input for continuous improvement.

? Solid PC operational knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications (emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Word) required

3、 维持与船公司，车队等相关供应商良好的关系；

4、 处理各类突发事件并及时向上级汇报；

5、 完成上级交办的其他相关工作；

6、 熟练处理船务操作事务：联系客户、报价、订舱、安排客户出货事宜、核对及交付文件、帐单处理、应收应付款催收、跟踪货物等。

任职资格

1、 专科及以上学历，国际贸易、物流、外贸专业毕业者优先；

2、 有二年以上出口操作经验者优先；

3、 熟悉货代操作流程，熟悉货运代理业务及相关专业知识；

4、熟悉office等办公软件；

5、 工作认真负责，思维敏捷，有良好的客户服务意识以及沟通能力，协调能力强。
