Job Description
ChinaBio® Group is a leading consulting and conference company focused on helping Western life science and healthcare companies achieve success in China. This senior level position in ChinaBio’s Shanghai headquarters reports directly to the founder/CEO and is responsible for developing and managing all external relationships with our partners. This position will also play a vital role in the success of our three highly-regarded annual conferences, including our international ChinaBio® Partnering Forum which attracted over 850 attendees this spring. Conference Marketing
* Lead conference planning and marketing effort
* Develop and maintain sponsor relationships, including with major multinational pharma and medtech companies, research services and products firms, law firms, accounting firms, as well as domestic life science companies
* Develop and maintain event partner relationships, including with media firms and other conference co-organizers
* Lead coordination of speakers, sponsors, exhibitors during the conferences
* Assist with program planning and speaker selection and recruitment
* Attend and support partner conferences

Government Relations
* Develop and maintain relations with key life science parks in China
* Develop and maintain relations with key provincial and municipal agencies
* Develop and maintain relations with key economic development zones
* Coordinate activities with above government agencies, including joint conferences, delegate visits

Corporate Marketing
* Assist with corporate marketing strategy, positioning and branding
* Assist with development of marketing materials and website for company and consulting organization

Business Development
* Assist with business development for consulting organization, including:
identifying potential government, domestic and multinational clients
identifying potential partners and M&A targets
* Assist in attracting life science companies to partner life science parks and regions
* Assist with organization of US/EU delegation visits

Required:
* Bachelor Degree in business, marketing or life science
* 5+ years of work experience
* Worked with or for multinational company
* Prior business development/sales experience
* Excellent presentation and writing skills
* Located in Shanghai or willing to self-relocate
* Occasional travel required
* Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin
