JOB PURPOSE

A member of Tontine merchandising team in Shanghai.

Major area of responsibilities include: product sourcing, follow-up, and liaison with team members in Australia and interact with all other functions in our Sourcing office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist manager in managing through the pre and post order from development to final delivery including sourcing, costing, sampling, bulk production, inspection and shipment tracking
• To organize all correspondence with factories and business units and ensure information is given to all relevant parties
• To management supplier relationships and monitor process in all aspects of production and delivery in China and off shore
• Oversees Tontine Sourcing & Supplier Operations, manage and develop supplier relationships
• Deliver Sourcing, Costing, Pre-Post Order Activities
• Work with Quality team to ensure brands quality requirement are adhere to

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Qualifications in Merchandising, Operations Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years in Sourcing, Product Development, Procurement and Supply Chain Management preferably in soft furnishings (bedding accessories) or related category
• Knowledge in textile, product and merchandising flow
• Knowledge of product integrity, product cycle timeline, soft furnishing product construction.
• Significant knowledge of Quality Principles
• Demonstrated strong sourcing, product development, price negotiation, and follow-up skills
• Demonstrated detailed follow up of critical path monitoring in China and offshore factory production
• Skilled at dealing with customers and suppliers
• “Hands-on” management style with ability to manage, motivate and support a team
• Attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Excellent spoken and written English
