JOB OBJECTIVES:

To do lab and machine trials as well as customer site trial supporting TS in pilot phase of new project and the successing period.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To conduct technical activities to ensure the successful achievement of R&D projects in footwear effectively, safely and innovatively. Secure cost reduction of raw materials used
2. To prepare and implement short-term and long-term technical experiment plans
3. To make timely and analytic experiment update as well as technical communication
4. To cooperate forwardly with other departments on new technical solution with creative thinking
5. To prepare and keep updated professional documentation of all technical activities and trials carried out in-house and at customer site
6. To prepare and maintain formulations and ensure that formulations and technical know-how are kept company internally within the circle of authorized persons
7. To maintain up-to-date knowledge of recent developments and trends in the polyurethane industry by close cooperation with other BASF system houses for technology transfer, and attend training courses, lectures, conferences, reading, etc.
8. To be responsible for the cleanness, safety and machine maintenance in footwear laboratories and workshop areas
9. To ensure that BASF and local EHS regulations are observed within the company, report any areas of concern to EHS Manager or Division Manager
10. To strictly follow internal quality requirements(TS164949), BASF and local EHS requirements, report any areas of concern to DPM or EHS Manager


REQUIREMENTS:

1. Master degree, major in polymer science, chemistry or related majors
2. More than 2 years' work experience in chemical area. Experience on Polyurethane application or related polymer science would be preferred.
3. Ability to do lab and machine trials reliable, efficient, and innovative.
4. Ability to deliver technical presentations.
5. Good communication skills in English and Mandarin.
6. Competency: Striving for Achievement, Communication and Interpersonal Understanding, Customer Focus, Chemistry/polymer/polyurethane knowledge, Analytical thinking, Team work, Innovativeness, etc.
