Responsibilities:
1.Participate in supplier identification, evaluation & selection
2.Assess suppliers' quality system & process control capability
3.Work with suppliers to fill the gaps between Crane's expectations and their status quo.
4.Work with internal customers to develop & clarify Critical Product Characteristics & Critical to Quality Requirements (CTQ) for the commodities to be sourced.
5.Work with suppliers to identify & develop Critical Process Characteristics to ensure realization of customers' CTQs.
6.Train suppliers & work with suppliers to develop First Article Inspection (FA) or First Piece Qualification (FPQ) process for the commodities & closely monitor its implementation
7.Train suppliers & work with suppliers to develop quality Control Plan for the commodities & closely monitor its implementation
8.Conduct first article, in-production random & final check /inspections on behalf of internal customers.
9.Track customers' approval of supplier quality plan & first articles
10.Conduct Manufacture Readiness Review with the selected suppliers prior to production, and conduct First Batch Audit on the 1st batch of production parts.
11.Monitor & expedite deliveries of commodities when internal customers require
12.Monitor, record, manage & assess supplier's quality & delivery performances
13.Train and develop suppliers' prevention & zero defect mentality
14.Train suppliers to use SPC, advance quality planning, capacity planning, etc.
15.Track latest quality management progress & new quality approaches, tools & methodology, and train suppliers to utilize the latest techniques.

Qualifications:

1.Engineering degree and background in electronic engineering, or computer technology, etc.
2.Good command of the English language - Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. And ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
3.At least 5 years of working experience in aerospace industry and five years of strong supplier quality engineering experience.
4.A qualified internal auditor of AS9100.
5.Strong interpersonal communication skills.
6.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, ProE, etc.
7.Willingness to station himself or herself at the supplier sites, travel to other supplier sites.
8.On occasion if required, willingness to travel overseas for training at a Crane global location.
