Responsibilities:

1.Certify the products leaving the supplier manufacturing facilities
a.Conduct first piece qualification on the first articles of commodities to be sourced, & complete a FPQ report with its signature
b.Conduct sampling inspections/tests on each of production parts before they leave the suppliers' sites, and complete a source inspection report with its signature
2.Assess suppliers' quality system & process control capability
a.Work with other auditors to conduct QA005 audits on the suppliers
b.Conduct follow-up audits on the suppliers
3.Assist CCCS Sourcing Quality Engineer / Sourcing Quality Manager to train suppliers & work with suppliers to develop control plan for the commodities
a.Monitor the suppliers to implement control plans
b.Conduct in-production random check /inspections on the WIPs per the specified control points of Control Plan
4.Monitor & expedite suppliers to fully implement its measuring tool/gage management process & conduct calibrations timely.
5.Monitor & expedite deliveries of commodities
6.Monitor, record, manage & assess supplier's quality & OTD performances
7.Train and develop suppliers' prevention & zero defect mentality
8.Review and assist in the development of Quality Plans and process specifications to ensure all work is carried out to customer compliance requirements.
9.Review certificates of compliance or test reports to determine validity.
10.Analyze quality related data & write evaluation reports
11.Review drawings to evaluate quality requirements including correct application of GD&T, proper use of engineering, process and material specifications, and identification of key characteristics for inspection plans and methods
12.Participate in internal audits and suppliers evaluations
13.Apply the quality toolset including FMEA, IQ, OQ, PQ, GR&R/measurement system analysis, control plans, process verification/validation plans, validation protocol development, Cpk, Cp, SPC, hard gaging applications, computer-based inspection methods, operator work instructions, DOE, process data analysis, and DMAIC
14.Assist manufacturing sites with the interpretation of quality requirements including verification/validation planning and execution, first production run requirements, problem resolution and implementation of effective corrective action
15.Develop control plans that identify inspection characteristics, gaging techniques, and sampling requirements
16.Work closely with third party inspection authorities to ensure all relevant inspections are carried out on time and in line with contract requirements.
17.Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work effectively with Operations Department to provide a quality service to customers.

Qualifications:

1.Engineering degree and background. Casting or Fluid Handling specialty preferred
2.Good command of the English language -Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
3.Good command of inspection skills in using normal inspection /measuring tools/devices. Skills of using CMM preferred.
4.At least 3 years of quality experience in valve or other fluid handling industries. An ISO9001 internal auditor preferred.
5.Be good at reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
6.Strong personal communication skills.
7.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, eMail and Internet usage
8.Willing to travel to various supplier locations in China with majority of activities in the Nantong-Shanghai area.
9.On occasion if required, willingness to travel overseas for training at a Crane global location.
