THE ROLE
Joining a World Class team of Control and Electronics engineers working on Hardware, Software and Controls solutions in Transmission control applications (AT, AMT, DCT)

Key Responsibilities
? Specification and development of advanced control systems (mainly focus on transmissions, with possibility to expand to engine or hybrid)
? Focussing on system level requirements, configuration and integration (mainly focus on transmissions)
Everyday tasks will include:
? Transmission control system requirements capture and management
? Assessment and capture of transmission system level safety requirements
? Transmission control system architecture and electrical integration design and/or implementation
? Transmission control system function validation
? Customer interfacing for technical elements of projects
? Support for rapid prototyping of control systems Lead resolution of system related issues
? Ensure application of robust systems safety processes and procedures
? Support development of opportunities through client interaction and proposal generation

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Skills
? Significant experience of transmission control system requirements capture and test
? At least 5+ years TCU development or calibration experience for AT, AMT, CVT, or DCT transmission
? Good knowledge of shift strategy mapping
? Good knowledge of shift quality calibration and drivability development to meet customer targets essential
? Development experience of TCU strategies preferred
? Engine management system experience preferred
? Strong analytical approach to developing controls systems in an automotive environment
? Experienced in use of real-time calibration tools
? Experienced with vehicle based communication protocols, including specification and diagnosis
? Experienced in test-bed and vehicle based calibration
? Experience of automotive rapid prototype control system development
? Proficient in English and Mandarin languages (written and spoken) for project and technical communication

Knowledge
? Qualified to degree level with technical background in transmission systems design and development
? Good knowledge of rapid prototyping control systems
? Detailed understanding of transmission, engine, vehicle concepts and operation
? Literate in IT systems (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
? Strong knowledge of system level safety requirements and related standards (including ISO 26262) beneficial
? Knowledge of budget and project delivery control
? Knowledge of system architecture design considerations
