Job Responsibilities:

APPLICATION ACTIVITIES

? Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment in accordance with HS&E policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines.
? Prepare beverages applications using existing formulas / recipes to support project activity.
Apply flavors in beverages bases, adjust dosages if needed.
? Respect strict confidentiality on projects and flavor formulas.
? Become knowledgeable in beverage applications across all categories.
? Maintain library of commonly used raw materials and samples required to create all commonly used beverage applications, properly stored, with required shelf-life.
? Support Project Managers activities: sample preparations, tastings organization, shelf-life studies/validations, sample shipments, etc.
? Manage flavor orders using SAP.
? Organize lab supplies and required equipment maintenance to ensure accuracy, cleanliness and safety.
? Perform required analysis / measurements for introduction of flavors in Core DB / SAP.
? Support Project Manager in preparing presentations of flavors/ samples in applications to demonstrate benefits/technologies to internal or external customers including data, slides, visuals…
? Participate to panels / evaluations of creations and applications made by the I&D team.
? Prepare and organize stability tests for flavors. Manage the data collection and apply statistical software tools to report on sample performance and results.
? Create and /or Request samples such as Spray dried flavors, emulsions, microemulsions needed to conduct product developments.

LABORATORY CREATION ACTIVITIES
? Compound formulas for Senior Innovation Flavorist, as required, as backup to compounder.

Profile:
? 3 to 5 year experience in Applications and or Flavor Compounding activities
? Some Scientific education is a plus
? Fluent in English (oral and written)
? Good understanding of beverage applications across all categories (i.e., CSD, PSD, BWAT, etc.
? Good understanding of flavor technologies as applied to beverages (e.g., washed flavors, emulsions, microemulsions, flexaromes, duraromes, etc.) and Firmenich analytical tools (e.g., tribology, AFFIRM, etc.) that can be used to demonstrate the benefits of newly developed I&D technologies.
? Autonomy, good organization skills, rigor and precision.
? Good command of Word, Excel, Power Point and Wave
