Job Responsibilities:

? Formulate new flavors in the context of Global Innovation projects to meet project requirements at an expert level for Citrus in particular.
? Develop flavours which meet all defined innovation project needs, considering good manufacturing practices, industrialization validation, regulatory compliance, etc.
? Liaise with all required support functions in development work to achieve new flavors / projects objectives : applications, consumer insights, sensory, analytical, chemistry, regulatory, flavour delivery,...
? Develop and maintain expertise by reviewing litterature, internal reports, screening raw materials, tasting market products, participating to conferences or trainings related to Beverages / Citrus.
? Take advantage of innovation projects to extend the use of Firmenich ingredients to differentiate flavors.

? Serve as technical expert and advisor to internal and external partners for Beverages and Citrus flavour performance.
? Provide technical guidance and support to other Flavorists. Keep in close contact with them to identify needs and portfolio gaps.
? Establish and maintain effective relationships with our internal partners (Research, Zonal Flavorists, Citrus Center) to gain their trust and respect.
? Share knowledge using the appropriate tools, i.e. reports, presentations, etc.
? Participate in the deployment of innovation projects containing new creations directly visiting the Zones or via teleconferences.
? Collaborate closely with Research in general and in China in particular on Innovation projects definition and execution.
? Collaborate with Global creation, I&D and Citrus Center on the training materials for creation, creation softwares or guidance to creation projects.

Profile:
? Senior Flavorist with chemistry or food science education
? Minimum 10 year experience in formulation in one of the Flavor industry Top 10 companies
? Experience in citrus formulation is a must
? Fluent in English (oral and written)
? Good understanding of beverage flavor technologies
? Curious, open-minded with good communication and networking skills
? Able to manage within an international matrix organization
? Available for frequent conference calls with other zones (North America, Europe).
