What does Principal System Administrator do?
Ensures optimum COE Lab infrastructure performance and integrity. Ensures consistency and synchronization across infrastructure components. Ensures performance optimization, and maintenance by following operational procedures for maintaining and upgrading technology as required. Involved in supporting new and existing Lab infrastructure and COE applications. Works with other IT /EOS2 Lab/Facility groups and business units, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Leads the design of the computing/networking infrastructure, working closely with architects on project design and technical direction.
? Ensure that the technical environment is properly maintained and correctly designed.
? Analyzes data critical to capacity forecasting, asset management and procurement.
? Identify performance issues and oversee the development and correct use of tools to resolve these problems.
? Provides expertise in cross-functional and intra-departmental efforts, interfacing with consultants and architects.
? Able to identify inefficient processes and procedures, and introduce automation to improve
? BU system OS installation and security control
? COE system requirement collection and system development
? Assist Ops managers with planning and reporting.
? Mentor less experienced team members.
? Strong understanding and competence in virtual computing environment.
