Job Summary & Dimensions

Provide administrative and technical support to Southco Engineering in Asia. Responsible for Engineering Systems & process monitoring, data input and accuracy as well as drafting support. Drive best in class Engineering in the region, participate in the various project audits, CI events, training programs for the local engineering team members. On demand, coordinate projects or complete designs and process improvements, develop standard products for the AP region as defined by the Marketing group, support Japan and Korea design teams and solve design related quality issues.

Job Accountabilities

• Environment Compliance, for new development projects monitor the RRR database and prepare documentation IMDS, REACH for release to customer
• Patent application filing in China, work with the SBU design engineers, Finance team, the Legal representative in Corporate and the local agency to identify the potential concept designs and prepare the required material. Follow-up the Patent database and Southco internal Patent review process
• Regularly audit Projects and report status of key metrics, DFA/DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, Tolerance Analysis, Lessons Learned and Design reviews. Review Pro04 scorecards and feedback to SBU project leader overdue items.

Offer training whenever necessary. Develop, track and Monitor the Asia Engineering Scorecard, KPI

• ENSTAR, ECP/PRN processing, IPN tracking, TECHSTAR support. CAD drawings, redesign parts from Ideas or Catia into Teamcenter
• CI or Project Activities such as managing standard product line extension, and / or improvement design activities, design and launch standard products for the AP region as defined by the Marketing group
• Together with HRD, participate in the planning of the Student rotation program. Review and optimize training programs based on student feedback. Support tracking and monitoring Asia engineering Skills matrix, participate in the Engineering training
• Support Japan and Korea Projects depending on Design Engineer workload. Involve in quality issues solving

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years in related of MFG, Quality, NPD or Design department.
• Experience in product development, Product revision control, manufacture processes and quality standards
• BS degree in Mechanical engineering preferred
• Good communication skills in Chinese and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
