Job Description - FIRST Intern/Contractor

Term August 2012 through May 2013



Job overview

Work with FIRST Project Manager to manage and expand the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition in China.



Job responsibilities

Translate documents and emails containing competition, robotics and computer terminology

Translate on phone calls, at meetings and at presentations

Perform administrative tasks related to program management

Assist with training event managers, volunteer staff, teams, coaches and mentors

Travel to venues for meetings, site visits and competitions

Assist venues with event preparation and management

Assist with program fundraising



Requirements

4 years college degree or 2 years plus equivalent experience

Excellent English skills and ability to translate documents and at meetings/presentations

1+ years work or extracurricular experience requiring oversight/management /organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment

Some exposure to technology or robotics helpful
