Job Title
PCM Software Engineer in Alstom Grid China, Substation Automation Solutions R&D, based in Shanghai, China.
Purpose of the Job
The PCM (Protection Control and Measurement) Software provides with the implementation of ad-hoc algorithms and automation scheme for relaying application.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
·Developing software specifications to identify the technical behaviour of the deliveries to suit the system requirements.
·Definition of software specification/design using the UML and Matlab Simulink modelling languages.
·Design, implement and unit test software components.
·Perform Bug fixing
Educational Requirements
·Master's Degree in Power System Automation or Electrical Engineering
·Very good English skills in speaking, reading and writing.
Experience
The candidates will be required to have competency in the following disciplines:
·Minimum 5 years experience in embedded real-time software design
·Minimum 3 years practical model based software experience using Matlab/Simulink.
·More than 3 years protection relay development experience
·Strong domain knowledge in the areas of Power Systems Protection or Substation Automation technology.
·Excellent programming skills in writing embedded code in C, C++.
In addition to the above requirements, experience in at least of the following skills would be advantageous.
·Practical knowledge of UML for software architecture/design documentation.
·Experience in Safety/Critical software development.
·Good appreciation of unit testing and integration practices.
·Use of the Enterprise Architect toolset.
·Exposure to CMMI or Agile methodologies.
·Experience with Rational software management tools, e.g. ClearCase, ClearQuest, etc.
