Position Summary:

Sourcing Assistants help Sourcing Managers (SM) with a variety of responsibilities surrounding new potential vendors and new potential products in assigned HFT categories. They spend their time following up on quotations, requesting and tracking samples for QA testing, and communicating test with vendors and quality department. They also help to coordinate packaging and artwork through completion with the given timeline. They work directly with Sourcing Managers to meet HFT goals and objectives.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

* Gather information from new potential vendors.
* Help to obtain A-level audits, perform factory visits, and have phone discussions with potential factories and report to Sourcing Manager.
* Facilitate gathering quotes from potential vendors and help SM to finalize the comparison sheet.
* Coordinate and track all the testing between vendor, US, and Shanghai QA lab.
* Communicate testing revisions, holds, and corrections.
* Communicate and coordinate packaging and artwork requirements.
* Additional duties as assigned
* Canton Fair and HFT supplier summit support


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree preferred, Technical/Vocational Degree required
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant vendor and manufacturing experience, better in tool industry
* Experience with major distribution and US operations would be highly desirable
* Ability to generate and analyze reports and data
* Strong communication skills required
* Open mind and quick learner, willing to take pressure with positive attitude
* Must be proficient with computers and automated process and systems
* Strong Excel skills preferred
* Proficiency in written and oral English is required
