Summary Of Position:
The employees in this position will perform mechanical design tasks relative to the application of molded components, metal stamping parts, & Bussmann electronic products. Under limited supervision, creates engineering documents and procedures that detail the design, fabrication and assembly of Bussmann Electronic products (CP, Magnetic and SuperCap). Tasks require a high degree of creative ability, engineering skill, and independent judgment, and include complex activities based on experience and job knowledge. Responsible for the engineering portion of major projects and may include project leadership. Limited instructions relative to non-routine assignments may be necessary, but are normally not required.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Translate customer requirements into functional specifications (mechanical related).
- Define the mechanical design for Bussmann electronic products based on the functional specification & the customer specification in cooperation with the team engineers.
- Analyze component material and performance requirements of new or modified products.
- Generate the engineering data, 2D drawing/3D model, specification for the products using the design software, Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.
- Generate component specifications and requirements for custom products
- Release mechanical design for product, process, and production.
- Knowledgeable about materials (plastics, metal, glass, ceramic, and etc.): properties, manufacture process.
- Knowledgeable of tooling and process (injection molding, die casting, and etc.)
- Visit customers/suppliers as necessary to support the engineering, sales, purchasing, QA and manufacturing functions within the company.
Experience And Training Required To Perform Job:
This position requires the following:
- Bachelor or above in Mechanical Engineering or the related.
- >=3 years experience in mechanical design
- Experiences in the tooling/fixture design in automation filed is plus.
- Familiar with mechanical manufacturing process.
- Familiar with design software-Solidworks, AutoCAD. (Solidworks is mandatory)
- Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word and Excel).
- Mandarin and English language skills required.
- Open minded, team work and clearly communication.
