Role Summary/Purpose
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform consultative analysis, reviewing constraints and developing technical requirements and design solutions to the research team - Collaborate with the engineering team to identify the opportunity of IT engagement in research project to improve the productivity - Operation support the current ILM system and utilize the tool in GE to help the research team on the guideline of collaboration community - Act as subject matter expert for supporting engineering software and the High Performance Computing environment to enable computational science. - Lead projects related to the High Performance Computing program, and the execution of ideas originating from consultative analysis.
Qualifications/Requirements
− Bachelor degree in the Engineering , Information Engineering or Computer Science relevant − 5-6 years in IT or engineering design or support, − Skill set or knowledge on engineering software , such as AutoCAD, Proe, Ansys, Fluent; − skill set on Linux/Unix and knowledge of high performance computing − Skill set on IT infrastructure and knowledge of storage, general network topology − Understand the software development process in the engineering project − Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve − Strong project management methodology − Fluent both in oral and written English
