Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

1. Lead the creation and commercialization of new technical solutions for processing engineering thermoplastics. Processes requiring new solutions include General injection molding, thin wall injection, IMD (In-mold-decoration), and other new processing method. 2. Contribute to New Product Introductions (which are led by the Technology team) by a. Relating customer and application needs to product processing and property requirements, and b. Supporting customer trials of new products (utilising processes such as General injection molding, thin wall injection, IMD (In-mold-decoration). 3. Drive the closure (working with the Field Marketing team) of key "validation" targets where a new process or new design is being introduced for the first time. Assist in part design, material selection, process design, mold design, process optimization. 4. Mould Design review with customer. 5. Translate new plastics processing technologies and processes from USA & Europe to Aisa-Pacific regions.

Qualifications/Requirements

Educational Background:• 3-4 yrs Masters or 5-8 yrs experience Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Polymers/Plastics Engineering or Materials Engineering.• Solid understanding and experience in polymer processing methods such as General injection molding, thin wall injection, IMD (In-mold-decoration). • Understanding of mechanical engineering design, stress analysis and mechanical performance prediction and testing.Language:• Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin.Other skills: • Creative, good problem-solving and facilitation skills • Strong interpersonal & communication skills • Strong computer skills • Functional knowledge of statistics and related analytical tools Other requirements:• Computer literacy (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.)• Internet literacy • Passport for international travel
