Job/Position Responsibilities:
? Ensure regional purchasing activities with Sourcing of alternates for other regions
? Ensure Plant Specific Purchasing for Shanghai, Ningbo, Beijing, Guangzhou and Taiwan
? Identify, evaluate and select Capex and PSP suppliers for critical purchases
? Negotiate and ensure leverage on our combined indirect spending
? Collaborate with internal users to bring consistent added value
? Perform market research for low cost sourcing projects
? Make recommendation to Albemarle management in order to reduce cost
? Negotiate and execute contracts
? Drive supplier performance/improvement

Education Requirements:
? Bachelor or higher degree with major in Mechanical Engineering is required

Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following experience or working knowledge:
? Minimum of 5 years Purchasing experience in Indirect procurement (MRO or CAPEX)
? Experience in Plant Operations, Process or Economic Evaluation is a plus.
? Demonstrated ability to negotiate and reduce costs
? Knowledge of SAP
? Proficient User of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
? Excellent analytical and business skills
? Excellent change-management skills
? Ability to participate in cross-functional, teamwork oriented environment
? Ability to work independently and create quality results
? Ability to interact with multiple levels internally and externally
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
? Ability to develop and manage projects with minimal oversight
