ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

? Conduct supplier selection for new product development, Perform supplier risk assessment;
? Collect and analyze supplier quotes, Monitor and ensure competitive material cost to meet target cost (design/redesign to cost);
? Lead new component search, selection and qualification, Analyze and challenge the needs;
? Conduct cost estimation as part of business case study;
? Award business, place PO and set up delivery arrangements accordingly to support Engineering prototype build;
? Push co-development with suppliers and early supplier involvement, Bring supplier market view to projects;
? Align the needs with current global purchasing strategy focusing on standardization, reduction of diversity and time to market;
? Provide local market intelligence and project requirements to build purchasing strategies;
? Negotiate purchasing terms and conditions;
? Initiate contract for strategic parts & components;
? Coordinate w/Regional Purchasing Team’s to support Pre-Pilot, Pilot, & Ramp-up to support initial production.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
? Bachelor Degree;
? MBA degree a plus.

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
? 5+ years working experience in Purchasing / Sourcing / Supply Chain function;
? Working experience in Rack or PDU industry a plus.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
? Familiar with NPI/NPD/NCI process;
? Excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting with suppliers/vendors;
? Good communication with cross-function and cross-region internal stake holders and customers;
? Good PC Skills, familiar with MS-Office and MS-Project.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

? Familiar with Data Center Solution Products (UPS/Cooling/Rack/PDU) a plus;
? Familiar with Oracle a plus.

TRAVEL:

? Domestic and international travel as needed

OTHER KEY CONSIDERATIONS:
? Fluent in Oral and Written English
