1. Basic Information
? Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
? Department: International Sales
? Sector: Utility & Industry in China
? Report to: Vice President of International Sales
? Subordinate: 15

2.PURPOSE
Regional Sales Manager will manage the sales and customer service of our products in the China market.
Our customers are all the electric generation, transmission and distribution companies in China as well as the large industrial customers like oil, petro-chemical, aluminum and metals.

2. ORGANISATION CHART
? The RSM reports to the VP of International Sales located in the USA who reports to the VP of Sales and Customer service who reports to the Senior VP who reports to the President.
? Downwards: the RSM has a business manager reporting to him as well as an engineering manager and three sales managers.

3. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
? Direct report to and where he is: VP of International Sales located in the USA
? Subordinate( how many subordinates, the positions of them and where they are): Shanghai, Chengdu, Beijing

4. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
? To promote the sales of our products and services in the China market.
? To prepare quotations and tenders with the team in Shanghai.
? Work with integrators in China for very important customers.
? To go for customer visits (at least 50% of time in China.)
? To take care of customers after sales.
? To find new markets for our products in China.
? To create new channels in China.
? To manage large projects with the team in China.

5. OTHER RELATED INFORMATION
? He will be responsible for – selling protection relays, meters, I/O modules, controllers, PLCs, RTUs, Industrial computers and automation solutions.
? He will be responsible for all thins at the branch.
? The sales mode: Direct mode and integrator mode.
? The team will expand in two or three years.
? The factory is in the USA. He will be trained at the factory a couple of times a year for one week each time.
? We use application engineers to take care of the customers after sales. We also have customer service representatives to help take care of the customer’s needs.

6. MAJOR CHALLENGES
We have many products to market and sell in China and it will require several trips around the country to promote the new products.

7. JOB REQUIREMENTS
? Education: Electrical Engineering background preferred and MBA would be beneficial.
? Experience: At least 5 – 8 years of sales experience in China.
? Travel Frequency: about 50%.
? Must be able to communicate well in English.
? Technical Sales Experience.
? Be able to manage a staff of 15+ people.
