Micron Technology’s Advanced Controller Group is focused on developing leading-edge memory controller and System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, incorporating advanced HW and FW to enable Micron’s SSD and mobile NAND product roadmap. Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Concept & Planning Phases
a. Lead the project planning phase with the functional managers/leads to
i. Build schedules and work plans
ii. Build internal and external dependencies, identify bottlenecks and critical path
iii. Create the resource allocation plan
iv. Integrate multiple schedules and synchronize the internal (within the FW org) and the external receivables/deliverables
v. Build risk mitigation plan
2. Development & Qualification Phases
a. Track schedule & execution to ensure timely deliveries
b. Resolve conflicts and escalate when needed
c. POC for change requests coming into the FW Test team
d. Coordinate between FW Dev teams, FW Arch and FW Test. Ensure communication is flowing between the different sites/time zones.
e. Track AIs and ensure timely completion.
f. Act as an interface between the FW Test Org and outbound PMs (FW, HW, PE, PVE, CVE, PQE, Marketing etc.)
3. Equipment & Budget
a. Responsible for the FW development equipment in terms of planning, refreshing/purchasing and tracking across the different projects.
b. Manage the budget planning cycles and consumption tracking for the project.


Successful candidates will have the following:

Minimum 3 years technical R&D background and 3 years life-cycle project management experience are preferred.
Excellent project manager skills on planning, reporting, presenting and decision making.
Language skills: Fluent in English (both writing and verbal) and Fluent in Mandarin
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with people across at all levels of the organization
Experience with typical tests systems used in the storage industry
Experience of working in a sophisticated technology company
Experience of the storage industry, in SSD, HDD, embedded storage systems or a related technology
Experience with advanced NAND flash and other non-volatile storage
Knowledge of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC are preferred.

Additional requirements:

Agile development
PMP certification
Experience with JIRA (especially JIRA Agile)
Ability to handle short-notice needs/requests
